Sherman Oaks Notre Dame senior quarterback Dayne Crist, on the sidelines since the 9:15 mark of the second quarter, has suffered a concussion that could keep him sidelined for the Knights’ playoff opener next week, at least.

Notre Dame trainers would not talk about the injury, but Coach Kevin Rooney said, ‘I’m very concerned.’

Crist, who is headed to the University of Notre Dame, said in a brief sideline conversation in the third quarter that ‘I’ll be OK.’

He, too did not know if he would be allowed to play next week.
