Long Beach Poly center sidelined by injury

Long Beach Poly is expected to be without the services of starting center Douglas Spacht for its regular-season finale against Long Beach Jordan at 7 tonight at Veterans Stadium.

Spacht, who has committed to Fresno State, has a slightly torn knee ligament, but Coach Raul Lara is hopeful that, with rest, the injury will heal and the senior will be available for the playoffs.

Poly (8-1, 5-0) will be trying to wrap up the Moore League title with its eighth consecutive victory since a 20-7 loss to Birmingham in the second week of the season.
