Sherman Oaks Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist knew his name, knew where he was Friday night but didn’t remember much about his game against Encino Crespi. That’s the typical symptoms of a concussion, and his availability for a playoff game next week is questionable.

‘He’s doing better, but he’s still having some issues,’ Coach Kevin Rooney said Saturday morning.

Notre Dame lost to Crespi, 23-3.

Hopefully, Crist is doing what good athletes do -- forgetting about a bad situation and moving on. Then again, concussions are serious and he won’t be allowed to play again until all physical issues are resolved.
