‘We didn’t have the old luck of the Irish this morning,’ said Mater Dei Coach Bruce Rollinson, about 10 hours after his team defeated Servite, 38-13, at Anaheim Stadium. ‘It was a coin flip. There’s nothing you can do about it. I had prepared myself mentally that this could happen. You just have to move forward.’

This coin flip Rollinson was speaking about, which took place early this morning at St. John Bosco High, determined that the three-way tie for first place in the Trinity League will shake out with Servite being the league’s No. 1 playoff entry, Orange Lutheran being No. 2, and Mater Dei No. 3.
