Servite wins Trinity League coin flip

This just in from Servite Coach Troy Thomas: Results of the coin flip early this morning at St. John Bosco High to determine the berths of the Trinity League teams headed into the Pac-5 playoffs:

1. Servite, which beat Orange Lutheran but lost to Mater Dei, will go in as the league’s No. 1 team.
2. Orange Lutheran, which beat Mater Dei but lost to Servite, will go in as No. 2.
3. Mater Dei, which beat Servite but lost to Orange Lutheran, will go in as No. 3.

Good luck to the Southern Section administrators who now have to figure out a fair bracketing of teams in this division. Good luck to the league winner who gets to meet the Monarchs in a first-round game next Friday.

Playoff pairings in all section divisions will be announced by the section office on Sunday.
