All season I thought Santa Barbara and Harvard-Westlake would meet in the Division I-A final, but instead its going to be a couple of Mission League rivals battling it out for top honors.

Flintridge Sacred Heart swept top-seed and title favorite Santa Barbara on Tuesday night and the Wolverines got some long-awaited revenge with their three-game victory over defending Division IV state champion Marymount.

So who’s going to be the new Division I-A champion on the hardwood court at Cypress College on Saturday? Well, it’s definitely going to be close, but I have to side with the Wolverines on this one. They’ve beaten the Tologs twice this season (although the second match was by the slimmest of margins).

Still, a good word or two has to be said about what the Tologs have accomplished. They swept the Dons out of way almost like they were nothing -- that’s pretty darn impressive and this team might be too talented to lose to the same squad three times.
