Defending champion: Schurr
Seeded teams: 1. San Gabriel (8-2), 2. Westminster (7-3), 3. Fullerton (6-3), 4. California (9-1)
How it shakes out: The only undefeated team in the division is La Habra (9-0), which would have been top-seeded if not for forfeits by Troy, a fluke in the schedule created by the Southern California wildfires and finishing on the wrong end of a coin flip with Fullerton. The Highlanders, who could face San Gabriel in the second round, are led by Chris Morales (21 TDs, 8 ints.). How’s this for a reason to like La Habra: It beat second-seeded Westminster, 21-0.
