Both the Inland Valley League and the San Andreas League went 3-0 in their first-round playoff games Friday night in the Central Division.

That’s six of the eight teams that remain alive in the division.

Two of the four quarterfinal games will feature the IVL vs. the SAL. Moreno Valley travels to Cajon and Rancho Verde plays at Colton. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday.

With second-seeded Chaffey blowing a 24-point lead and losing to Pasadena in the opening round, 51-46, and fourth-seeded Muir losing to Cajon, 28-19, the obstacles are thinning for unseeded Rancho Verde, which I still consider the team to beat. By the way, the accompanying photograph shows Moreno Valley, with the San Bernardino mountains in the background.
