No surprises at the Birmingham-Taft game. Thanks to a couple TD runs by Milton Knox and a 63-yard interception return by Evan Jenkins, Birmingham has a 21-0 lead with 8:08 remaining before halftime.

The Patriots are dominating on both sides of the ball and it looks as if the Patriots’ subs will get to take over in the second half.

As usual, it’s been pretty much all Knox for the Patriots. After his second TD of the night, Knox, pictured after his second TD run with lineman Rafael Lopez, has 63 yards rushing and his two TDs came on carries from one and two yards out.

It seems like no one can catch this guy and I think he’ll easily eclipse the 1,700-yard mark for the season by the end of the game -- provided he gets to stay in long enough.

Oh, one more thing: Knox just scored another TD on a 5-yard run just before halftime to give the Patriots a 28-0 lead. Man, I guess Taft isn’t the only one having trouble keeping up with his running.
