What a way to find redemption.

Just a couple plays after he fumbled the ball to help give Valencia a 14-0 lead, Newbury Park RB Chris Brown caught a pass and turned it into an amazing 80-yard TD to cut the Vikings’ lead to 14-6 (Newbury Park missed the two-point conversion attempt) with just over four minutes left in the first half.

On the previous drive, a Brown fumble was picked up by Valencia DL Kevin Carrington and returned around 30 yards to the Newbury Park eight-yard line. RB Jordan Thompson then scored on the next play.

An interception by LB Chance Flatten on a Graham Wilbert pass has put Newbury Park on the Valencia 33, so there’s a chance to make the score even tighter.
