Scott approaching county milestone

According to the Ventura County Star, St. Bonaventure RB Darrell Scott is 50 yards away from becoming one of only three RBs in county history to rush for more than 7,000 career yards. Former St. Bonny standout Lorenzo Booker (1999-2001) and Ventura star Tyler Ebell (1998-2000) are the only guys still ahead of him.

Scott will not catch Booker’s high-mark of 8,502 yards, but Ebell’s 7,418 yards is still catchable if the top-seeded Seraphs can topple third-seeded Saugus in the Northern Division semifinals on Saturday.

Scott is ninth in all-time state career rushing, according to CalHiSports.com. On the season, he has rushed for 1,876 yards and 23 TDs.
