Girls’ tennis: La Quinta pair opens play in individual tournament

The unbeaten doubles team of sophomore Megan Lester and freshman Nikki Suarez of La Quinta have qualified for the Southern Section individual tennis tournament today and Friday at the Seal Beach Tennis Center.

The round of 16 was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the quarterfinals this afternoon. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m., followed by the championship matches.

Should be a racket.
