Trabuco HIlls beat Charter Oak, 27-3, at Charter Oak High to advance to next week’s Southwest Division championship game.

For Mustangs running back Matt Wagner, getting to the finals may ultimately feel just as good as winning the championship. That’s because the Mustangs’ semifinal victory came against the team that ended their season in the semifinals last year.

‘Coming here was a big thing for us,’ Wagner said. ‘It meant a lot more.’

The Mustangs will play the winner of tomorrow’s semifinal between South Hills and El Dorado at Orange Coast College next Friday.
