The tiniest kid on the field sparked the fuse Saturday night.

With St. Paul down by 11 points and the Western Division semifinal inching toward an end, Eddie Di Dios -- at 5-foot-3 and 154 pounds -- put the Swordsmen in scoring postion with a 12-yard run, then followed it up with a touchdown on a 10-yard dash.

‘Just trying to get us motivated,’ Di Dios said. ‘Just trying to get the momentum.’

Momentum was had, as St. Paul scored on its final drive, beating host Gahr, 18-14, and heading to the division finals for the first time in a decade.
