You gotta love one underdog. But two? Even better.

When the postseason began, unseeded St. Paul and third-seeded Palmdale were not the popular picks to nab the Western Division’s football championship.

Nope, be smart -- go with either Culver City or Dominguez, last season’s finalists.

But we know what’s happened now: It’s the Swordsmen (9-4) vs. the Falcons (12-1). Underdog vs. underdog. And, as St. Paul Coach Pete Gonzalez said, ‘We kind of like it that way.’
