El Dorado quarterback Kane Wilson couldn’t find any open receivers, so he did the next best thing -- he tucked the ball and ran five yards into the end zone with 30 seconds left to put the Golden Hawks within reach of their second consecutive Southwest Division title.

Even though Wilson scored, there was still the matter of the extra point. Chase Lansford converted on a night when PATs were at a premium and the Golden Hawks held on for a 13-12 victory over Trabuco Hills at Orange Coast College.

The Mustangs were able to set up for a 52-yard field goal attempt with two seconds left, but the play broke down when the snap went high and the kick was never attempted.

Wilson had both touchdowns for El Dorado, scoring from 13 yards on the Golden Hawks’ first series before putting the game away with his touchdown run on their last.
