Even if Long Beach Poly beats Crespi tonight in the Pac-5 Division championship game at the Home Depot Center, the Jackrabbits might not reach the state title game. Either City champion Birmingham or Inland Division champion Corona Centennial could be the south’s representative to play the likely representative from the north, Concord De La Salle, on Dec. 15. And why?

Well, Birmingham handed the Jackrabbits their only loss while Centennial beat Crespi, which downed the Patriots.

It should get interesting. And puzzling. The decision will come at 3 p.m. Sunday.
