SF Valley/North softball: Valencia’s Smith commits

Another Santa Clarita Valley softball player has committed to a university -- this time from Valencia. Catcher Paige Smith has committed to St. Francis in Pennsylvania after playing an important role in helping the Vikings win the Southern Section Division I title last spring.

And she’ll continue to play a big part in the Vikings’ efforts this season now that the post-Jordan Taylor years are upon them. It should be a great battle for the Foothill League title once again between Valencia and Hart.
