Jackson brothers talented athletes and bloggers

Langston Jackson tore it up on the field this fall, rushing for 1,225 yards and 16 TDs for Simi Valley, but now it’s time for his twin brother, Lorne, to make headlines on the basketball court again.

Lorne Jackson is averaging 22.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.8 steals a game and has played a leading role in the Pioneers’ 5-0 start, which includes a championship in their own tournament. Of course, teammates Mike Meza [21.4 ppg] and Brad Lewis [18.4 ppg] are also a huge reason why I think this team is a legitimate contender for the Marmonte League title this season.

And I’m sure Lorne and Langston will keep people in the loop through their creative blog. I stumbled upon it the other day and I have to say I’m pretty impressed how these two were able to work in photos of Steve McQueen and Albert Einstein on the same web page. That’s a level of blogging I haven’t quite mastered yet. Although I’m quite proud of the fact Yoda made an appearance on my blog back in October.

For all of you out there who don’t know how cool McQueen was, check out this clip from the 1971 cult classic ‘Le Mans.’ There’s very little dialogue and even less acting -- it’s just a bunch of guys racing around at over 200 mph in a bunch of Porsche 917ks.
