Have to give credit where credit is due and my co-worker, Austin Knoblauch, deserves some for keeping everyone aware of who Logan Budd was throughout the football season and what the talented senior from Morro Bay was capable of doing on the field. And finally, it appears that NCAA Division I scouts are noticing his numerous achievements too.

Plans for official visits to San Jose St. and Cal Poly are looking more and more like a reality for Budd, according to Scout.com. His versatility, no doubt, sparked the interest of recruiters. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder was named the Los Padres League’s most valuable player after leading the league in passing, rushing, scoring, total offense, yards per punt, PATs and interceptions.

There has to be a college somewhere on the West Coast that can find a place for an athlete like Budd, who does so many different things so well. Rivals.com reports that Boise St., Utah, Washington St. and Wyoming have also been in contact with him, though no official offers have been made. It might be too late. Bigger schools may swoop in and grab him. Budd is on the map now. Good call Knobs...
