The exit door has recently swung open for a couple San Bernardino County football coaches.

Bloomington Coach Don Markham, pictured, is the latest to pack his bags, although he technically won’t be leaving the school until June, giving him a few more months to poke his neck in the weight room and make sure nobody’s slacking.

Markham, 68, is taking the athletic director and head football coaching position at the newly opened American Sports University in San Bernardino, a four-year college that allows students to earn degrees in a variety of sports-related fields.

Sounds like Markham won’t need to hire a trainer because half the team will know how to tape their own ankles.

Brian Kidd, who coached the last two seasons at Rialto Carter, was forced to resign earlier this week after leading the Lions to the playoffs both years. The last coach at Carter left after he was suspended for arguing with a beligerant fan.

Tough administration over there.
