Tonight, there is a marquee attraction. See two of the slickest boys’ basketball players in the Southland in the Ocean View tournament: Compton’s DeMar DeRozan vs. Campbell Hall’s Jrue Holiday. Future Trojan against future Bruin.

DeRozan -- whom most preps pundits tout as the No. 1 or No. 2 player in the nation -- scored 38 and 26 points to kick off his senior season for the No. 5-ranked Tarbabes (2-0). Holiday, a top-10 player nationwide, is averaging 28.3 points for the No.7 Vikings (5-2). Rivals.com, for example, slots DeRozan at No. 2 and Holiday No. 3 in the country.

Fun to watch DeRozan against Holiday? ‘Oh, yeah,’ said Compton Coach Tony Thomas. ‘They’re going to go at it.’

Tipoff is at 8:15 p.m. tonight at Ocean View in Huntington Beach. Get there early.
