Don’t let Compton and Campbell Hall steal all the hoops hoopla this week. Another matchup brings some serious bling: Gahr vs. Mater Dei in the semifinals of the Sonora tournament Friday night at Sonora.

Mater Dei (7-0), ranked No. 4 by The Times in the preseason, is the 10th-ranked team in the nation, according to USA Today. No. 8 Gahr (7-1) is brimming over with talent and lights up the scoreboard like Times Square, scoring at least 80 points in each game this season.
