Crespi’s Jones heading out on recruiting tour

Crespi DB L.J. Jones will be making an official recruiting trip to Fresno State this weekend, according to Scout.com, and he is planning to make three more trips over the next month.

Jones said he’ll be visiting Utah State on Jan. 5, San Diego State on Jan. 18 and Nevada on Jan. 24. I guess that’s one way to build up your frequent flier miles.

Still, Jones is a pretty popular commodity these days. He was one of the defensive standouts for a Crespi team that advanced to the Pac-5 Division finals, finishing the year with 65 tackles, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He also on occasion returned kicks.
