Jesters and Monsoons in one building -- ah, what could be better?

The Jesters. The Monsoons. Two all-time classic team names. And, to my unadulterated joy, the Jesters (Lakewood St. Joseph) and the Monsoons (Mayfair) matched up in battle last night in a girls’ basketball tourney.

Would the Jesters make jokes of the Monsoons? Or would the Monsoons get all subtropical on the Jesters?

Well, the Jesters weathered the Monsoons with a 46-25 victory in the Cerritos Valley Christian tournament as Andrea Hernandez starred with 17 points.

See that, the Jesters are nobody’s fool.
