Not going to make many friends with UCLA football fans with this blog, but I’ve got some potentially bad news for the Westwood faithful. E.J. Woods of Crespi took a recruiting trip to Colorado over the weekend and, apparently, is reconsidering the verbal commitment he made to Bruins back in March.

Woods visited Washington in October and it appears as if playing for the Huskies is also an option. He’s expected to make a formal announcement on signing day, which is in the first week in February. Click here to read his side of the story, courtesy of Rivals.com.

The fact UCLA doesn’t have a coaching staff in place after the firing of Karl Dorrell certainly isn’t helping matters. The uncertainty is a drawback for Woods and several of other prized prospects. And really, this shouldn’t come as a big surprise to Bruin-backers, so, don’t direct your frustration toward me.
