It had to wait 360 days, but Campbell Hall finally avenged its only loss of the 2006-07 season.

Thanks to a 21-point effort by Jrue Holiday (I think I’ve seen his name on this blog at least a couple times before), the Vikings defeated Barrington (R.I.) St. Andrews, 81-50, in a showcase game at the Mission Prep Classic on Saturday. Everybody knew the Vikings would win this one because they are ranked eighth in the state by Rivals and CalHiSports.com. And St. Andrews is definitely not as good as it was last year. According to Maxpreps.com, the Saints are winless.

However, the Vikings will see plenty of competition playing in the National Division of the San Diego Torrey Pines tournament this week. They open up tourney play against Metairie Park (La.) Country Day on Wednesday at 9 p.m.
