There are two Valley boys’ basketball teams in the Maxpreps.com City Section top 10. Taft, to no one’s surprise, is one. The other is Cleveland.

The Cavaliers are 9-4 going into Friday’s Sea Hawk Beach Classic tournament game against St. Bernard.
Coach Osiris Nalls said the team could easily be 12-1. Three of the four losses -- to View Park, Fremont and Hart -- were buzzer-beaters in which the Cavs gave back double-digit leads.
