Apparently, there is another girls’ cross-country runner in Orange County besides Christine Babcock. The Register is reporting that senior Shelby Buckley of Corona del Mar has committed to UCLA. Buckley won the Southern Section Division III championship and is the defending Masters meet champion in the 1,600 meters.

She began her career at Rosary, where she won the section Division III cross-country title as a freshman.

At UCLA, Buckley will have a chance to compete against Babcock, who committed to Washington.
