Three boys’ basketball players who transferred from Woodland Hills Taft to Reseda and were declared ineligible by City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege have been reinstated.

Randall Harris, Rasheem Harris and Ryan Watkins have been cleared to play for the Regents after Fiege reviewed new CIF transfer rules and determined they do not apply to the players.

The players had played for a Taft junior varsity coach and his travel team. But Fiege was unable to prove that the coach later went to work for Reseda and their involvement with the travel team came after they had transferred to Reseda. Under the new CIF rule, players are not allowed to follow a former coach to his new school.
