Santa Clara’s Wilder has a new fan

I’m officially a James Wilder fan.

The guy is just amazing and seems to have a knack for making a clutch basket when Santa Clara needs it the most. One of his big shots came right at the end of the third quarter when he hit a fade-away jumper with two Oaks Christian defenders in his face before falling on his back. It was the best shot of the game, in my book, so far.

However, Oaks Christian still leads, 48-47, heading into the fourth quarter. If Santa Clara can slow down Tyler McGrath and Matt Johnson just a little bit in the final frame, the Saints could exit as victors in Round 1 of their Tri-Valley League title bout with the Lions.
