Arroyo Valley has been a tough boys’ basketball team to figure out this season. With two three-game losing streaks sandwiched between three two-game winning streaks, it was difficult to predict which team would show up to play.

They might finally be heading in the right direction, however, having defeated visiting Cajon, 66-62, in a key San Andreas League game Tuesday night for their fifth consectutive win.

James Sanders scored 33 points for Arroyo Valley, which has victories this season over top 25 teams Upland and L.A. Price. The Hawks will try to stay unbeaten in league play when they travel to Colton for a 7:30 p.m. game Thursday.
