The Holiday that’s known in these parts is Jrue, the nationally rated star for Campbell Hall.

But there’s a lesser-known Holliday, as in Anthony Holliday, who can create a shot off the dribble like a hardwood artiste. Holliday -- only a sophomore and the star of Norwalk boys’ basketball -- is averaging 17.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

‘The league is already double-teaming him,’ said Norwalk Coach Jim Webster. ‘And the best thing about him, he handles pressure well.’

Tonight, in a 57-54 loss to Cerritos, Holliday scored 22 points with five rebounds and four assists. ‘Overall, he’s just a great kid,’ Webster said.

So, this is a Holliday you should not pass up -- see him play when the Lancers (9-10, 1-4) head to Mayfair on Friday.
