Moore League owned by Compton -- for now

OK, last time, I used a pic of Demi Moore to represent the Moore League -- now, it’s Mandy Moore’s turn. Hey, I don’t hear any of you guys complaining. Whatever, onto business...

Just so you know, Compton boys’ basketball pocketed sole possession of first place in the Moore League Wednesday night. The Tarbabes won, 61-51, in snuffing out the sizzle of Long Beach Wilson, which had won 10 of 11 entering the game. Wilson earned some props in the process. ‘Hey, they’re a good team with some good players,’ Compton Coach Tony Thomas said.

Wilson (13-6, 4-1) plays again on Friday against Millikan (3-15, 0-4). Compton (15-5, 5-0) plays Long Beach Cabrillo (5-11, 1-2) on Friday.
