Saugus leads at halftime, thanks to Wilson

Well, at least there’s one player on the court who can score.

Thanks to Breann Wilson’s 14 points, the Saugus girls’ basketball team leads Canyon, 22-14, at halftime in this critical Foothill League duel. However, neither team is having a good day shooting from the floor and if it wasn’t for Wilson, Saugus would be in a heap of trouble.

As for Canyon, it hasn’t been able to utilize its speed advantage and isn’t making free throws -- that’s a no-no for a team looking to be an upset-maker.
