On this week’s edition of the Darrell Scott recruiting drama...

It appears our St. Bonaventure hero met up with a few coaches from Texas this week. Head Coach Mack Brown, new running backs coach Major Applewhite and assistant recruiting coordinator/wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy all visited the Scott residence Tuesday night, according to Scout.com, and I have a feeling they weren’t there just to compliment Scott and his mother on their home’s decor.

As expected, however, the 6-foot-2, 215-pounder didn’t pledge his allegiance to the Longhorn Nation just yet, and that’s good because some coaches from Colorado are planning a face-to-face with Scott next week.

Also, Scott has some sort of reality/announcement show in the works with CSTV (and/or ESPN), so don’t expect him to make a decision until signing day on Feb. 6.

Until then, I’ll keep you posted with the latest wheelings and dealings in the sweepstakes for the nation’s No. 1 running back prospect. It’s apparently a Big-12 race between the Buffs and the Longhorns, and I have not idea where he’s going to end up. Remember, I was the guy who blogged he’d be going to Florida.
