King James invades Birmingham

Birmingham’s three gymnasiums were taken over Monday morning by outsiders.

NBA All-Star LeBron James, pictured next to Kobe Bryant, was filming a NIKE commercial on campus. James, whose Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Lakers on Sunday, wasn’t receiving any special treatment from his team. The Cavs were staying over in Los Angeles a couple of days before their next scheduled game in Portland on Wednesday.

And what kind of ad were they filming? ‘They’re doing something, that’s all I can tell you,’ Athletic Director Rick Prizant said.

Prizant added that James and NIKE were supposed to be finished before any scheduled practices by the school’s teams.
