If you believe everything you read in the North County Times, the city of Murrieta will be nothing more than a ghost town in a few years, with jacuzzis turned to watering holes for stray dogs, and guys like Snake Pliskin on security detail.

That’s why the newspaper clipping of Murrieta Valley’s boys’ basketball team’s victory over Vista Murrieta on Friday night could be a collector’s item in 2028.

Not only will newspapers likely be extinct, but sounds like there will be no more people left in Murrieta to field a sports team, much less help Snake Pliskin fight off the Brain and his buddies.

By the way, with the victory, Murrieta Valley moved into a tie for first with Vista Murrieta in the Southwestern League.
