Mater Dei, ranked No. 17 by The Times, had a 25-17 lead in the second quarter when No. 7 Mira Costa staged an impressive comeback.

The Mustangs -- sporting from a tough loss last night to No. 8 Redondo that will probably cost them the outright Bay League title -- got seven consecutive points from Mikah Maly-Karros in a 7-0 run. She has scored nine consecutive points for Mira Costa.
