Comanches trying to prove they belong among basketball’s elite

Right off the bat, my credibility is on the line here at Mater Dei.

The Anaheim Canyon boys’ basketball team leads Los Alamitos at halftime, 32-19, in the third of eight games at the Nike Extravaganza. I have Los Alamitos ranked No. 15 and Canyon in the ‘just missed’ category.

To make matters worse, the OC Register has Canyon ranked No. 5 and Los Alamitos No. 7, and I have to sit next to Register columnist Steve Fryer for the next 12 hours.
