Who could ask for a better scenario?

The best league game of the boys’ basketball season is tonight/Friday, in the final hours of the regular season, when Redlands hosts Eisenhower for the Citrus Belt League title. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Terriers, ranked No. 14 in the Southland by The Times heading into this week, were caught looking ahead to No. 17 Eisenhower, losing Wednesday night to visiting Redlands East Valley, 83-72, to spoil their undefeated season.

That puts Redlands and the Eagles with identical 12-1 league records, and not much separates these teams, as evidence by the Terriers’ come-from-behind one-point victory on Jan. 18.

I get the feeling the heads are still spinning for Redlands after its loss to REV and they may have lost a little confidence as well. Ike is rolling right now, so I suspect the Eagles will get out of there with a victory, and an outright league title.
