Two Southern Section dual meet championships were decided by a total of three points. Second-seeded Santa Ana won the final match of the night to defeat top-seeded Corona Centennial, 25-23, in Division IV. And in Division VI, second-seeded San Jacinto edged fourth-seeded Western, 28-27.

In Division III, top-seeded South Hills won its first Southern Section Division III dual meet championship since 2003, defeating second-seeded Santa Fe in the finals. And third-seeded Loara beat top-seeded Bishop Amat in Division V.
