No, the St. Joseph Jesters are quite serious these days. Especially after Stacy Orr tallied five goals and Brenna Roffers recorded 16 saves in a 7-6 wild-card victory over San Marino in the Southern Section Division III playoffs.

Since we’re gabbing about jesters, here’s a tangent ...

England went 355 years without an officially appointed jester, until 2004. That’s when Nigel Roder, known professionally as ‘Kester the Jester,’ became the official jester of England. He succeeded a jester named Muckle John, whose position was eliminated when his employer, King Charles I, was beheaded in 1649.
