These Dons are as great as Cheadle

Don Cheadle. Don McLean. Don Mattingly. All of them are great Dons. But perhaps the greatest Dons at the moment are the ones on the Dominguez boys’ basketball team.

Not only did the Dons nab the Southern Section’s Division I-AA’s coveted No. 1 seeding, they also just hopped up a slot in MaxPreps.com’s latest national rankings from No. 6 to No. 5. Dominguez (22-2) will host unseeded Chaminade at 7:30 p.m in Friday’s first round.

By the way, notice I didn’t include Don Osmond in the list of great Dons? Um, maybe I should have. What do you think?
