In a season packed full of accomplishments and honors, Mission Prep junior cross-country runner Jordan Hasay pulled off her biggest feat on Saturday.

Hasay successfully defended her USATF junior national title by winning Saturday’s USAFT Cross Country Championships junior women’s 6K race in San Diego. The Southern Section Division V champion finished in 20 minutes 32 seconds and was the only racer under 17 to finish in the top seven.

Hasay told the San Luis Obispo Tribune
the victory was the ‘highlight’ of her cross-country season, which, in addition to breaking her own Division V state course record at Woodward Park, included a third-place finish at the Foot Locker National Championships.

The 16-year-old Mission Prep runner has clearly established herself as one of the best in the world in her age class and it’ll be interesting to see where she’ll end up running in college. And it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Hasay became an American living in London by the summer of 2012 since she’s the most decorated Southland runner since Allyson Felix.

If you couldn’t see Hasay cap off her cross-country season in fantastic fashion, ESPN2 will air the USATF Championships on Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Go here for complete USATF Championship results.

Here’s a quick highlight from Hasay’s junior season at Mission Prep:
