Oh, this is just so darn fitting. The Beverly Hills girls’ basketball team beat Fillmore, 66-61, Saturday night in Divison II-AA action and advanced past the first round of the Southern Section playoffs for the first time since -- holy cow! -- 1978.

And what was the No. 1 song that year? The Bee Gees with Stayin’ Alive.
