Shaquelle Evans is one of the most sought-after football prospects among the 2009 class. Seemingly every powerhouse program from across the nation has offered the receiver from Inglewood a scholarship. But there’s one school in particular, LSU, that’s been coming on strong lately.

These quotes indicate Evans could be planning a visit to Baton Rouge at some point in the near future, though he hasn’t gone so far as to announce the Tigers as his front-runner. Cal and Notre Dame have expressed varied levels of interest. Oregon and USC are in the mix as well.

Evans doesn’t appear to be in a rush to make a decision about his future, not after making an appearance at last week’s Five-Star Academy, a program hosted by Rivals.com designed to introduce the ins and outs of the recruiting process to underclassmen. In the meantime, LSU must wait, similar to everyone else.
