Newhall Hart football Coach Mike Herrington, one of the proponents for separating private and public schools during the Southern Section playoffs, said Monday he won’t schedule anymore nonleague games against private schools after the Indians end their contract with Loyola this fall.

‘It’s just not a level playing field,’ Herrington said.

The Southern Section is scheduled to take up the issue of separate private and public school playoffs at its council meeting on March 6.
