Boys’ basketball I-AA final has more stars than the Oscars

Nobody had better complain here. No grousing, no griping, no groaning permitted.

Nah, we got a sweet one for the Big Dance -- the Biggest Dance -- the Division I-AA boys’ basketball finals on Saturday at the Honda Center at 6:30 p.m.

Yes, we got Dominguez vs. Mater Dei.

We have two of the three top-ranked teams in the Southland by The Times -- the No. 1 Monarchs (31-0) and No. 3 Dons (27-2) -- and we have more star power than Oscar Night. We have the Brothers Wear, David and Travis, and Andy Brown of Mater Dei and Jordan Hamilton of Dominguez, among a supporting cast of A-listers.

And we should have better ratings than the Oscars, too.
