It’s a full house at Saddleback College for this Southern Section Division I-AA boys’ basketball semifinal between Santa Margarita and top-seeded Dominguez.
The big news early on is that the Dons are getting contributions on offense besides high-scoring Jordan Hamilton, and Santa Margarita is struggling because Klay Thompson hasn’t made a shot in five attempts.
It’s Dominguez 17, Santa Margarita 12 after one quarter. Jaime Serna has three baskets for the Eagles.
